Creating a media depictions section?
[edit]I posted something similarly on Talk:Non-binary gender recently, as well, but here it goes. Some years ago, I got into a bit of a tiff with another user on here, and ended up removing the section, in early December 2022, after they flagged it for "original research." Whether I disagree with their assertion or not is immaterial. The fact is that I could have handled that tiff/dispute better back then. Despie I still believe there should be a section of this kind on this page. Additionally, I had also posted about this very topic, with a lively discussion from February to March 2021, involving participants such as @Crossroads, @-sche, and @SMargan with a range of opinions. However, I didn't add the section itself until December 2021. The section, when it existed, comprised only one sentence and noted Media portrayal of pansexuality as the main article:
Although pansexual characters are not often fictional characters, they have appeared in various films, TV series, literature, video games, graphic art, and webcomics, sometimes embodying certain tropes in cinema and fantasy.
I'd like to do something more this time, expand this sentence into a more robust section, and bring in some of the prominent examples from Media portrayal of pansexuality, perhaps resembling something like Asexuality#In media or Intersex#In society. It doesn't have to be something like the long sections on Lesbian#Media representation or Bisexuality#Media. What's your thoughts on this? Would you like to see a mock up of a possible section? Or is just linking to Media portrayal of pansexuality in the see also section enough?

The colors
[edit]On the article description it's written: pink, yellow and blue, when the "pink" is actually magenta. I'd kindly ask to edit this to match thr actual color, i do not permit the disrespect against the magenta color. UniversalNinja (talk) 14:23, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
